Thinking of You Two Ways with Hostess Time of Year Stamp Set

It's funny that sometimes the things that you love the most are actually the simpliest little things that most people actually don't jump into straight away.  Take the Hostess Time of Year stamp set for example, it is probably a very simple stamp set to most, but it's the first one that I've opened.  See below.

I made two cards straight away, and am extremely happy about them.

Card 1:

I use heat embossing for the Thinking of You sentiment in both cards, and die-cut one with Sweet and Sassy heartshape die set.  Then I ink the Always banner in Peekaboo Peach ink pad.  Once the paper soaks up all the ink the colour just looks amazing.  Then I die-cut it with the Bunch of Banners die set.

Card 2:

I also used a doily die to cut out a doily and serve it as part of the background.  The paper panel with handwriting is from the loverly 2016-2018 In Colours Designers Paper Stack.  Everything gels perfectly.

Hope you give it a go with the super versatile stamp set.  You'll be amazed at how beautiful and modern your project can turn out.

I use the following Stampin' Up supplies for making my cards:

The Smallest Things - Greeting Card using Layering Love Stamp set from Stampin' Up

In the beginning of May, I, like all Stampin' Up demonstrators around the world, were all super excited about the pre-order of the 2016/2017 products.  Finally we got to play with the new stuff before official release, and get ready for customer orders in coming June.

However, not all products are available for pre-orders.  Only a small selection of stamps, dies, and other accessories were offered.  I don't know about others, but I managed to use the little budget plus my birthday money from my mother-in-law to get two stamp sets, 2016/2017 in-colour ink pads, and card stocks.   And here is what I made from the latest card stock, ink pads and stamp set.

Dapper Denim and Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach, the latest 2016/2017 In colours, are used for this  project.  They compliment each other so well and lighten up the card.

Besides the latest stamps and colours, I also use the dies from Cups and Kettle framelits to compliment the card.  For the texture I use the retired Tiny Triangles embossing folder.  Bought it at a discounted price and I think it's a steal!

The stamp set, Layering Love, is from the latest 2016/17 catalogue.  It is trendy, cheerful and artistic.

I will put on the online shop links once they're released on June 1, 2016.

Stampin' Up Materials used:

Ink pads:  Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach
Card stock: Same colours as above
Stamp set: Layering Love
Dies:  Cups and Kettle framelits
Embossing Folder: Tiny Triangles

You Are Made of Wonderful - Definitely Dahlia

This morning started with exciting news - my first Stampin Up order has arrived at my doorstep!

So after going through all the routines, dropping off Ashley then my husband off at the osteotherapy place, I quickly drove home to open my parcel.  Stacks of catalogues, ordering forms, and the most important things - my new stamps!  Yes!!!

I know I don't sound like an enthusiastic demonstrator but hey, this is my hobby and I've gotta enjoy it first, right?

Quickly I made myself a nespresso and sat down to make a card.  Bam!  Done!

I know that a Stampin Up demonstrator cannot advertise for competitor products so I'm not going to tell about other materials.  But the Dahlia and sentiment stamps are from Stampin' Up.

Ok time to have a lunch break and dig into other beautiful stamp sets.
